10:48 a.m. - 2004-12-13 Been catching up on my independent study. Only have three papers left. Not to bad I think. Will get at least one more done tomorrow, maybe two. Found a magna series that I really like this week. Was passing by a table at work that had magna on it and this book on the top wrapped in plastic caught my eye, first cause things wrapped in plastic really shouldn't be that out in the open cause it means it's got heavy sex or violence in it and second because it had two men on the cover. Yeah I guess that makes me sick. But I enjoy reading about men in love. I used to write a bunch of that stuff. And surprisingly, this book is beautifully done. A great deal of sex, but it's done well and doesn't show much of the explict stuff. But the relationship is so beautiful, the characters well developed, especially for a magna. I am now ordering the rest of the series, which of course we didn't have in stock at work. Finished another book last night. It's called Alexander the Fabulous, which is about Alexander the great. It's a comical view. How many of the things he did made him very gay, and there are side comments about everything relating from ancient history to the clinton lewinsky scandle. Fun stuff, and a very funny history of history's hero. Saw the Alexander movie and thought it was terrible, overly long and poorly edited. Oh well, not everything is good. Revamped my website, looks pretty, basic, but pretty. I went simple, influenced by others who do things simple-like and manage to have a good thing. :) Did a lot of xmas shopping, but no where near done. Oye. I forgot how much I hate xmas shopping, the crowds, the people who think they are god's gift. I hate working retail holidays. Sigh.
